Elections / Voter Registration

The Spencer County Voter Registration Office provides voter registration services for all Spencer County citizens. Also, the office administers, in conjunction with the Spencer County Clerk’s office, all county, city and town elections. Some of the services provided, in addition to voter registration, include candidate filings, ballot preparation, poll worker training, election administration and tabulating election results.


In person early voting at The Spencer County 4-HYouth and Community Building in Chrisney will begin Tuesday, May 26..


In person early voting will be held at The Spencer County 4-H Youth and Community Building located at Chrisney:

In person early voting starts Tuesday, May 26, 2020 and runs through Monday June 1, 2020. Hours for in person early voting are:

Tuesday, May 26 10:00 am to 6:00 pm

Wednesday, May 27  10:00 am to 6:00 pm

Thursday, May 28  10:00 am to 6:00 pm

Friday, May 29 9:00 am to 4:00 pm

Saturday, May 30  8:30 am to 3:30 pm

Monday, June 1  9:00 am to 12:00 pm

The shortened time period is due to Governor Holcomb’s Executive order establishing dates for early in person voting for the health and safety of voters and poll workers.  Masks, gloves, hand sanitizer and wipes will be provided and social distancing observed.

There will be no EARLY voting at the courthouse or Santa Claus Community Center for the 2020 Primary.
